mine has a rust hole in it and im starting to hear the leak. having trouble finding a new or used one except for 2k for the whole pipe and cat. anybody got any leads on either a used or new? not too fond of putting one of the random multipurpose ones on it.....rather get one from a wreck or one designed for the car. any help is appreciated.

Do they smog check 97 diesels where you live?

In light of the cost, you want to rethink the possibility of a good exhaust shop doing what they can do. When the cat on my 95 E300 was plugged, the shop simply cut it and installed a new Magaflow. Set me back all of $370. But I realize the location of the cat on the W210 makes it a little more challenging.
