My tool bench will stay clean this time - I swear !

Started early this morning with good intentions. Replacing the IP in on of my 87 wagons. Promised myself I'd keep my tools straight, clean, properly put away, garbage in the can, etc, etc. Well - it didn't happen. Only 1/2 of the way through the job and my work table is piled with parts, tools, more parts, junk.

Fan clutch should be stored on a horizontal axis!

No. No, it won't. (Referring to the title of this thread, assuming that you do actual work near it).

That does look like it is on a horizontal axis.

Is the table on a wall? I meant the axis of rotation should be horizontal. At least that's what the instructions that come with some clutches say.

HAHAH - no, this was just a vertical shot - makes it look like the table was on the wall. I did move the fan right after I read your post - didn't want any fluid to leak out (it was brand new and expensive).

It's not the mess while working that is the problem. The mess remaining after is.

Once a month I clean my shop and say NEVER AGAIN! will it get this messy. And then I do a basic oil change and somehow things like all my specialty tools and my welder are scattered all over the garage.

Best of luck keeping it clean!
