After doing the best I can with the line-to-the-brake-caliper method, I disconnect the shaft of the MC from the pedal, and and use my hand to jiggle/pump it in the last inch of travel on the MC to get any air bubbles to rise up to the reservoir.

I just unbolt the slave, disconnect the line from the bellhousing, and tie the hydraulics up out of the way. No bleeding required, unless the problem had something to do with hydraulics in the first place.

I thought this too but didn't really want to comment since I don't remember how much clearance there is around that area.

While my 1-2, 2-3 clutch chatter has almost disappeared, I'm getting quite a judder getting going in 1st gear all of the sudden. I'm thinking there is some serious glazing on either the clutch or the flywheel.

Could I theoretically intentionally "burn" the clutch to remove the glazing on the friction surfaces? I have a new clutch kit on order in case so I feel I don't have much to lose.
