You need to price a rebuild from Mercedes. Another rebuild on ebay went for $2,600 not 100% complete.

This is a good price as I see it, and I believe it will sale. I've seen engines with almost 200,000 miles on them go for almost $1,000.

Oh well, seemed kinda high to me.

Seems to me that shipping it from Alaska could be very expensive.

UPS only ships to and from Alaska two ways, overnight and 2nd day air.

What is the shroud around the turbo assembly? Is it from a Unimog?

Believe it or not, shipping from Alaska is fairly cheap; because everything needed is shipped in nothing is shipped out. So shipping up is high, you basically have to pay freight both ways because nothing is shipped out.

It may be from one, I’m not sure if they use them or not. But they are used in the SUSV's, both the 5 & 6 cylinder 3.0L engines are use in these and we have many up here.

About 6 months ago the Army sold 54 SUSV's to the public, the average price was $15,000. Not to bad for a high priced toy. A friend of mine purchased one and really likes it.
