Mercedes differential removal tool

I just thought I would share this tool that I made to aid in the removal process of mercedes differentials. It is based on the one shown in the FSM (part #115 589 35 63 00 "vehicle jack top" ) but slightly different seeing as I had to build it off of a small black & white photo in the manual.it only cost me about $15 in materials to make it myself as opposed to buying for who knows how much(if its even still available.) Not really a necessary tool but still kind of nice to have.

I just get a blank screen.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

Nice though you really shouldn't let axles droop like that - if you bend the cans you might pop some balls out (painful)

Those axles are getting replaced. The boots have been cracked forever and all the fluid has long since poured out.

Very nice, kudos on your solution.

And it would be easy to configure some supports for the axles to avoid them drooping.
