oM 603 injector line broke

I noticed my car was running routes in an idol so I looked underneath the hood and noticed that the third injector back the line was leaking at the injector, I try to tighten it but that wouldn't work so I took it off and look at it nothing seems to be wrong so I put it back on re tightened itand all I'm still felt loose inside the locking nut and then the line broke off where do I find another line is the dealership the only place that sells them other than the wrecking yards

Here's the good news and the bad news. You can get them from the dealer. The bad news is that they don't come prebent. And they're made of pretty heavy stuff, not easy to bend correctly. If you can find one in a junkyard, it would be better.

What are the obvious signs associated with "running routes in an idol?"

Auto Correct is a blessing and a curse

The lines are available, pre formed per cylinder route, from the dealer or the forum sponsor.

I would also fix the root cause of the problem, broken hard line clips and supports.

Cut to length, but not prebent.

When I had to replace a line on my OM606 the line I ordered from Pelican arrived pre-bent. Took 2 weeks since they had to special order it from MB.

Not sure if the OM603 is different.

The 60x lines haven't been available prebent for some time. They come cut to length, with fittings and flared ends. But they have to be bent to shape.

Thanks to Everyone for the help, I will order one tomorow from one of the local MB dealers in town. Pre bent or not I can figure that out, and will also look at the retaining clips to see if any are broke, disconnected or missing and replace those as well.

Oh crap...... I didnt see your msg. in time, I ordered one from the dealer today and it will be in tomorrow... (They said that it would be pre bent) I know the wholesale parts guy and do business with him often. I would feel bad telling him never mind, after he already ordered it and it will probably be there by the time I would be able get a hold of him.
It was $44. not the world but not cheap, definitely would have taken you up on that though beings that I have other vehic's to drive in the mean time.
Very much appreciate the offer. You are one of a hundred reasons why I belong to this forum. Good People. DARN.........., Ill ask him in the morn if its a hassle to send it back or not, he will be honest. If he says no hassle, Ill take you up on it. Once again thank you very much for the generosity.

Pre Bent Lines - Yes....But get new clips too

Luckily the lines seem to be available pre bent. I replaced my 603.961 # 3 line a few months back from the local dealer... Leaked at the line / injector connecting nut...Worn line nipple from normal motor vibration...$63 / pre bent "plug and play".

As noted above....get some new "clips" and bracket rubber to minimize the vibration that wears the line nipples at the injector. They are very affordable...maybe $20 for the set.

I ordered one last year from the dealer and it was pre bent but they either sent the wrong one or they use the same part for more than one cylinder. I had to make the final bend and it "ain't " easy. I would love to have a strait one as a generic spare. You are F'D if you have far to go. Thank heavens it wasn't gas spilling all over my engine compartment.
