Ok. I've attempted to contact both gentlemen on the tool rental master list with no response. I've got the new chain already in the engine ready to be crimped. Does anybody have a chain crimping tool I can rent from them to finish this project? Thanks!

If you are still looking for a tool.

I have a Baum Tools 000-5843 Double Row Chain Link Press & Adapter that I used on my MB 300D as well as a home made tool to hold the chain on the cam chain wheel.

I broke the old chain by covering everything with the exception of the link I wanted to break and then grinding the two crimped heads down with a dremel tool as per the diesel giant instruction.

I made a simple tool with Nylon rollers to hold the chain in place while reeving it through.
