1987 300tdt and 1988 300te parts compatability
I recently bought a 1987 300tdt with the Diesel engine and I have found a 88 300te parts car. I was wondering if the following will interchange:
fan clutch assembly radiator transmission Basically I want to part the 88 for whatever parts will work with my car . In particular right now is the fan clutch and radiator. My fan clutch is suspect as it is very easy to spin and I recently had an abnormal temp rise in local traffic. I have bought a new thermostat and plan to find a fan clutch. Mine is the version with the metal blades which through research seems to be an original version. Any advice would be great. |

Start a free account for the online EPC (need to provide a credit card number to verify US residency) and you can figure this out.
I am pretty sure that the transmission is wrong (gearing, lack of vacuum control?), I suspect that the radiator may be wrong, the fan clutch is probably compatible. I don't have access to EPC now, only in the evenings.
