Spark Plug Replacement?

Hello,

My clock stopped working on my 83 Mercedes Diesel.
I removed the corresponding spark plug. It was White.
I had Red, Blue and a yellow fuse. No white.
I put in the Yellow fuse. And it works.
I can't seem to find the wattage of a yellow spark plug.
I believe the white spark plugs are 8 amp.
Can I just leave the yellow one in there?...Can it
hurt anything if technically it's the wrong wattage?
It works.
Thanks much
LindaJ

Spark plugs go in gasoline engines...

The part you are asking about are fuses.

Yes, it really matters to put the correct fuse size back in.

Electrical wiring will burn down your car if it shorts out....

Red 10 amp, Blue 15 amp, Yellow 20 amp, white 25 amp.
You'll be fine Linda change it soon though its a little underrated and may blow sooner is all. But yes important you don't mix and match keep it as designed.

If they are ATC (blade-style) fuses, these are the correct colors. But if they are Bosch ceramic fuses, then it's Blue 25, Red 16, White 8, Yellow 5. It's safe to replace a fuse with a smaller fuse, although it may be more prone to blowing. It's not safe to replace a fuse with a larger fuse.

Personally I would not go by the color and simly read the amperage that is on the fuse.

If you can't do that look at the Fues Chart. If no fuse chart as someone to post a pic of the fuse chart.

I know a guy that used to replace fuses in his home electrical fuse box with copper pennies. The pennies definitely didn't blow.

The FSM has the correct fuse diagram. There was originally a card in the fuse box that listed fuses. The card in my SD differed from the FSM. I chose to use the FSM as my information source after identifying that the FSM at least had the circuits right because people go to yards and may have changed the lid and/or card.
