Quick question about engine shut off

I read a few posts about this but just trying to be certain.
Car has had a delayed shut off for 5+ years. Just in the last week it has not been shutting down automatically. When i pull a vacuum with the mighty vac on the valve it shuts off but it also fills the mighty vacs tube with oil. Time for a new valve, or might it be something else?

Oh boy.... Ya new valve pronto. In fact, just pull the brown line and cap it until you get a new valve. Once you start sucking oil into the vac system, everything starts breaking. Locks, trans etc.

Ouch. I have no Idea how long this has been happening. Hope it didn't get too bad.
I see people saying these are like $40. I can't seem to find them that cheap. Any leads?

Not sure when they were $40 last. Maybe your'e reading old posts. They are $100+ these days.

Wow. Time to start stocking up at the junkyard. The newer model ones are $40 but the MW pumps are $120-140. I saw some examples on ebay for $260!
parts.com no longer lists it which makes me think we are headed towards unobtanium?

uberwasser 06-06-2014 01:35 PM

I find that parts.com is not listing much anymore. Not sure what happened, but after their website re-design the part number search doesn't work well anymore and the make/model/year search shows pretty limited selection. Odd.

Anyway, you can also search by Bosch part #. I found them on Amazon for $128 with free shipping.

Amazon.com: Bosch 1427133091 Injection Pump Stop Solenoid: Automotive

Yeah, replace that valve asap. You can install a vw beetle/lawn tractor style fuel filter inline on the vacuum line from the valve too to stop/detect oil coming through.

Any way, short of tearing apart the whole system to clean out the oil? Probably a silly question.
