Who are the best remanufacturers of MB steering racks?
This is (hopefully) a question for (distant) future reference....
Who are the most reliable remanufacturers of Mercedes steering racks? Pelican has a number of different ones, but I have no real sense of who's better than whom. I know C&M Hydraulics in North Las Vegas is first rate....but they don't currently rebuild racks. Thanks.

When did they go to rack and pinion steering? I'm pretty sure the 210 still had a regular steering box.

My 98 W210 requires Part #210 460 25 00, which is rack and pinion.

As to your Q? Don't go cheap - especially on something you don't want to fail anytime soon again. Especially if it took a lot of labor or hassle to do the R & R of that part(s).
That stated........the best advise given by a fellow old car enthusiast, several decades ago was; "you need a couple, three parts cars for what you drive." He had nearly 50 parts cars on his 25 acres, most were of the brand model of the car he loved the most. It would do vstech proud the way this guy operated! |

They do an excellent job on their products. I have used multiple of their axles with 0 issues.
