84 300sd; question regarding actually locations of parts to cover when cleaning engin

I recently purchased an 84 300sd; knowing it was going to have a "few" issues to iron out. I was wondering the actual parts to cover when cleaning the engine compartment; the majority of the block is black and covered in oil. So, before changing the oil I was hoping to give it a bath to narrow down all the locations where it is leaking; as the black oil will probably be a lot easier to spot. I would like yo clean it with no I'll side effects. Pictures could possibly assist for the locations as almost everything has a a few millimeters to a centemeter of soot and grime on it.

Be careful of electrical connections and don't get anything in the intake, other than that, use a degreaser spray. Have a small plastic brush handy.

Use at a spray wand car wash place if possible.

Becareful not to pressure wash the cruise control actuator. It is sealed but you can still get water in it and damage it if you are not careful and/or your seals are dry/shrunk, especially around the arm/shaft

This is the best degreaser on the planet:

It is available at Sam's Club, but I have not found it anywhere else.
I have tried many others, and they don't even come close. This stuff eats the other purple degreaser for lunch
