Diagnostic port adapter
I built this diagnostic port adapter a few months to read RPM using an inductive timing light but have not posted about it till now. It was an outgrowth of my RIV timing light project.

testing cranking RPM
One of the primary use of this adapter, besides setting idle RPM accurately, is testing starter health/ cranking RPM. Glow plugs were disabled for the extended cranking in this video. 180 cranking RPM is pretty good.
