123 mirrors onto 126
I have tried the such function with no results. My rt side 126 outside mirror has bit the dust. I have an extra set of chrome manual mirrors off a 123, will these work on a 126? I do know a 116 and 123 will exchange with no problem. I don't want to take everything apart if this will not work.
Thanks in advance

Depends.
If you are desperate to make them fit, you can do it. If you are asking if it will be a proper fit, the answer is far from it. I actually purchased a w126 where someone had grafted on a RHS w116 mirror. It required a huge gob of silicone to seal it and IIRC it wasn't fully bolted on.

Thanks for the quick response. With all the extra rubber on the housing of the 126 that makes sense. So that answers my question. Thanks again

The mirror itself just pops out. It may very well work. I know I was able to use a 123 mirror on my 107. The innards are possibly the same as well, meaning if you stripped your actuators you could possibly swap in a working unit from a 123. Wish I could tell you for sure, but it's easy to try.
