there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

Yeah I know - but I'm trying to encourage the rolling in of the seal (and a habit of looking in the big book - even though I am guilty of winging it myself and paying the consequences)

If this is a turbo OM617 I'd consider getting power brakes on a series IIA

It's a turbo and i may not be such a bad idea. If i do it i'll go with hydroboost though. That is definitely something i'll give some thought.
