What is this vac fitting and where can i get one?

Was doing an oil change and bumped this fitting. being old heat cycled plastic it broke.

its on the main vac line running to the booster boosterabout 2 inchs from the booster. i tried searching but came up empty.

Is this a Dealer item??
Whats it called?

Can this even be replaced (line seems real stiff) or is it part of the main vac line.

Car is a 84 300cd Om617.

thanks.

It's part of the main vacuum line. It needs to be replaced all together.

Part number is 123-430-74-29

You can buy them here on Pelican parts. They aren't too bad, under $30.

It's a vacuum check valve. Yes, the fittings get really brittle and break easily.

I generally get mine at the junk yard. You can't just replace the check valve as they are installed in very hard nylon vacuum line. But what you can do is get 5/8 power steering line and use that instead. Carefully cut the metal fittings off the power brake booster and the vacuum pump as well as the replacement vacuum check valve and make up your own line. You need to be very careful removing the nylon line from the check valve - cut carefully and go slowly. I use a fresh Xacto knife and shave the nylon off.

You can use a longer than stock line if you desire and route it to your own specifications.

Here's mine installed.
