Interesting W140 Diesel Ad **OOPS**

Not mine, nor do I have any association with the seller or the car being sold.

An otherwise decent eBay find...a rodbender W140 diesel. I've not seen one this color before. Notice the trunk badging...

Why the "**OOPS**"?

DieselPaul 07-04-2014 05:10 PM

They're really close together and not in the right places, possibly indicative that the trunk has been painted or replaced at some point. Oops?

Maybe because they spelled diesel wrong on the trunk badge.

I've seen that color in person on a W124.

shouldn't it also be an SD?

jay_bob 07-04-2014 07:24 PM

1994 was the first year they started putting the letter first. So it is correct that it is badged as S350 TURBODIESEL.

92 and 93 W140s are 300SD even though they had the 3.5 OM603.971

This according to the official MB chart on startekinfo.com

I know what's going on my trunk lid now :P

DieselPaul 07-05-2014 09:43 AM

Well turns out jooseppi and I can't spell. That's hilarious now that its been pointed out.
