Lost communication with glowplug module
Good day all.
My 2008 E320 Bluetec (71,000 miles) issued a "Check Enigne" light together with the glowplug coil symbol. My wife took it to Autozone where their scanner reports a glow plug circuit fault. Now, a few weeks ago the car was at the MB dealership to repair an oil leak, the oil cooler seals. Is it possible that the tech may have inadvertently failed to seat the glow plug leads properly? Or is it common for a glow plug to fail after 71,000 miles? What does it entail to replace the glow plugs on this vehicle?

Does the car start or not? Rough or easy?

Yes, the car starts easily, idles smoothly, no change in performance.
