If you have 1/2" of clearance at the oil pan, the mounts aren't too horrible. But I'd replace them to see if they fix the shudder. You're going to have to find a diesel tach to test. How does it idle?
I was going to mention this but I see you cleared things up. I was just cleaning mine today and tested it with the air compressor.

Very clean looking car, I am VERY jealous. Wonder if mine will ever look like that.

Let me know what you decide with the instrument cluster. I might have some parts I can send your way. (My car came with two instrument clusters... not sure why)

I def appreciate the concern, ill run it by my master Mercedes tech who is proficient with om 60x motors who recommended the procedure to me, I am not running your concerns [which are now mine] in haste, but genuinely in real life concern and curiosity. The car has been running great with no smoke and idle is fine, and zero leaks from the pump.

The car is still coming along, I made a great score at the pick and pull recently and found a w201 with the same color interior that had a near flawless interior and uncracked dash, since mine was in pretty sore shape, heres the pics.

the 190 was a 93, so no, its not a period correct interior, but quite honestly, ive always hated the 1st and 2nd rendition of the w201's interior. Im still stuck with the older styled center console switches and wood plate..... While I had the dash out, I replaced a lot of the vacuum rubber, including the Y pieces. Next up on the list, is to address the rust rocker panels. Some may poo poo the idea, but ive also always hated with great disgust the 15" 15 hole wheels, so I picked up some lipped 8 holes from a w202.
