Simplification of W124 Vacuum System
On my 91 300D, I have eliminated all of the vacuum stuff on the passenger side of the engine in connection with the wastegate conversion. I would like, if possible, further to simplify the vacuum system, in effect following MB's lead in the changes they made from MY 91 to MY 92 (it's really striking how much simpler the 92 system is).
I've had some email discussions with a few different people on this. My impression is that all of the components common to both systems are identical and it should be possible simply to re-route the vacuum tubing, in effect eliminating the non-common components. Perhaps some adjustments would have to be made. Has anyone done this? Any advice to share?
