Got a new noise in the '99 E330DT: When i shift into D from P or any movement of the shifter for that matter I hear a metalic rattling - sounds almost like a flat washer is loose some where. Any ideas out there where I should look first?

That flat washer on the shifter is loose, get under there and have a look.
