Need to de-diesel funk the trunk
93 300D, my tank sprung a leak and soaked the material, I pulled it all out and is hang over the fence dripping. it's about 80% biodiesel 20% dinoD. Of course the trunk itself will be fairly simple. What is the best way to clean the felt and carpet material?

BioD is an ester and is chemically changed quite a bit from veggie oil

You can use it 100% of 50/50 with water, Super Clean cleaner and degreaser in the purple bottle. you can get it at Wal Mart. I use it for everything that needs to be clean, even removed the gasoline smell. Hence I am sure it will remove diesel smell.

I'd soak it down with Simple Green and rinse several times. Dish soap is a good idea. Once it's very, very clean, put it in the washer with some Oxyclean tossed in and vinegar for the softener. Wash it and see if it smells nice. Do NOT dry it until it smells nice with no diesel odor. Keep washing it till it's clean, then dry on low. Once you dry it, you'll set any stains or smells.
