Installing water injection nozzle in turbo with ARV

My original plan was to use one of the plates I had made, but could not because the intake manifold has a part of the casting in the way (on ARV equipped turbos), unlike the one in the photo below (from another thread). I decided to just block off the EGR, and find another way

I was planning to have more made, but they were a little pricey at the time and I could not afford them. I have a new machine shop that might be able to make them for less. PM for details....Rich
I wanted to install W.I. on one of my cars, but realized that it had an ARV. I was going to drill and tap the side of the compressor housing, but can't with the ARV there. I decided to take off some parts and see what is inside, and if a nozzle can be installed (ARV inoperable anyway). Much to my surprise, there was the perfect size hole to tap for 1/4 pipe:

I had to find a way to seal around the fitting because intake air flows around the fitting. I installed my nozzle (minute carb jet soldered on a piece of 1/4 copper tubing) in the drilled out brass fitting (1/4 compression X 1/4 pipe):

I re-used the diaphragm by poking a 1/4 hole in it that seals around the tubing:

I then hack-sawed the cover so only the 3 bolt flange part is used:

The finished product:

Hey RollGuy,

Let us know if you think you get a little more pep with H2O. My nozzle is .75 GPH.

I won't be running meth, I just want to "steam clean" the combustion chambers. I doubt it will have more pep, as it already (except for on idle) runs like a greased cheetah hopped up on Red Bull, dipped in Slick 50, chasing a bullet train.......Rich

That's all I ran, plain water for the most part. Sometimes the blue, but rare. Maybe it was me and "wishing" it gave me some pep... lol
