Selling my diesel fleet
I'm an old timer and haven't been around much lately so the newer folks may not know me. But feel free to check my post history to make sure I'm real. Anyway, it's time for all my diesels to go. Here's my ad for the 99
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-cars-sale/358758-fs-1999-e300-turbodiesel.html The 82 and the Jetta need to be sold as well and they are mentioned in that link but I will put up some separate ads when I have some more time. PM me or use the forum's email feature if you have interest. Mods - please feel free to move or delete this post if I've broken a cross-posting rule.

The 82 seems to be generating interest and I don't have pictures of it handy. So just to give you something to go on, here's the original thread where I bought the card from turbodiesel. It has some pictures, but bear in mind that they are 9 years old. I'll try to get the ad together and some new pictures in the next few days.
Any interest? 1982 Euro 300D 4-spd

I finally managed to put the ad together for Granny Smith. Here ya go:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-cars-sale/359060-fs-1982-300d-euro.html The Jetta ad is up over at Fred's TDI forum. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

Wish you were closer, I would make an offer on the TDI.
How do you like your S?

I'm unfamiliar with the E300... how B20 friendly is it? and/or how "alternative fuel" friendly is it?

For B20, I think a few O rings need to be replace with Viton for that but it shouldn't be that big a deal. Other folks here have talked about it so I know there is expertise out there. I ran some B100 for a while early on in the car's life but it was too expensive to do very much of that.
If you're talking about running SVO in the E300 - bad idea. The IP on this thing is way too expensive to mess with that. Current state of affairs - E300 sold! 300D has a full price offer on the table from a forum member. Jetta has a nibble but nothing definite yet. The Model S is shockingly awesome in so many ways it's ridiculous! Every other car feels old fashioned and klunky after this wondermobile.

I remember re your cars. Wish I could have nabbed the E300 .
I could be interested in the jetty seeing as I do drive a lot for work.....but I've been eyeing a pickup from the 60's as my second vehicle once the 240 is on the road. Enjoy the S! |
