Angry W123 Tranny Removal stuck 1982 300D

even trying to slide out on a steep angle the two (mounting ears?) hit the front of the tunnel stopping the tranny from pulling far apart enough to clear the input shaft. maybe 2 more inched to go Doooh!!

Do I need to remove or loose the engine mounts to allow for a greater angle of drop?

Seemed pretty straight forward till she got stuck, but now what??
thanks for your replies.

Yes, you will need to rotate engine to access all of them.
