Wow! you guys should lay off new members and welcome them, not tear them a new one as soon as they post up their new car. So what if the OP's ride is not perfect in your eyes, it might be in his. The last thing the world needs is more cynics.
I was thinking about the monthly cost of my 300td and it is about 225$ in fuel washer fluid, and half an oil change. I average 12-15 hundred miles/month. Not bad for pushing around a two ton car with 1970's aerodynamics.

The OP is not a new member, been here since 09, just doesn`t post a lot.
Look at his list of MB`s, not new to them. just new to the a MB Diesel.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

I bought two cars in Cleveland with a similar story. Nice cars can turn up in surprising places. Enjoy it.
