I saw a 126 that in the yard that was hit hard from behind. The rear bumper was pushed up to the glass. The trunk had popped open and was in perfect shape. The glass was out laying with the seal in place around the glass.

The radiator was pushed into the fan.

I needed the bumpers that trip the door latch. All 4 doors opened easily & closed with the solid Mercedes thud that we all love. Giving an SD to a young driver would be one of the better choices. Big, slow, safe - especially if the new driver has been raised to always buckle his seat belt since he was an infant.

im thinking about it for the rest of the week, i smile when i drive it. id rather sell my 07 e550 and keep this, the 240 is engineered better, but the e550 is like a rocket. one was a wedding gift, the other a 30th anniversary present. but has airmatic suspension....

heres a few photos i have, but the bottom door trim was removed for some reason. its a sharp car. but the wheels arent sharp on it

I'd like a 123 and would probably be on my way to divorce court if I brought another project home. Never the less, will it drive 500 mi in its current state?

Oh, I'd love to have it. Being nearby (Tallahassee) I could easily snag it up here.

Not sure how the wife would like having another car in the yard though.

Just put it on a truck and ship it my way! I will put it in my heard and put the 17" BBS on my euro and my bundts on the 240D I love the story and having a car with that many miles is cool! I don't think I will ever drive either one of mine in my life to reach 300k let alone 500...

I guess I didn't mention my son lives outside of Hartford Connecticut, and drove the car to just south of Tampa florida in july. it' s a reliable car. Just slow, leaky, and smelly (like me now ) if I had a diesel station on the island here I'd keep it and use it from time to time, speed limits vary from 25-45 with no lights perfect for the slow 240. That's the main reason my diesel truck has "no" milage. I'm too lazy to drive an hour round trip for fuel. I don't want to know it got parted out. I asked all of my nieces and nephews if they need it. If they don't ill see what's next.

I keep an extra 5 gallons of diesel in the truck when I travel and am concerned about inconvenient fuel access. The F250 has room to store some surplus for both diesels.
