I have had a 96 E300 (hit) and a 99 E300 that my # 2 son drive now and loves. I think they were both great cars albeit the NA engine is a slug.
Yeah they rust here in NJ, but far and away they a better high speed cruiser then any 124 IMHO. I have owned 14 MB's and I have loved every single one. jz |

If you want a more modern version, avoid the Chinese knockoffs and buy the latest version. BTW, I have Carsoft 7.4 and although it is now lying abandoned in my shop somewhere, I don't recall that it does a heck of a lot more than you can do with an OBD11 meter and the built in diagnostics accessible through the CC unit. It only will give you trouble codes and it's up to you to decipher them. Better than nothing, but not much. What you really need is the Star diagnosis system. But that is either super expensive or illegal. I usually pay my dealer a few bucks to run a scan.

Bumming around Craigslist I am encouraged to see how many of these are out there with high mileage....looking on the Philly CL saw one with 312k, one with 370k.
