Any OBD2 codes or warning messages after the stall? Have you dealt with the K40 relay recently?

You said the car stopped working while running for the wife. Since then will only crank slowly. Make sure you do not have a seized accessory on the motor. I would also make sure the motor can be turned over by hand.

You did check the engine oil level?

If it shut down while running "as if the key were turned off", the most common problem will be that the SOV closed. That can occur from loss of power to the SOV (K40 relay or more rarely, a bad SOV) or a large air leak, usually at the SOV air ring.

Neither should effect starter motor cranking speed.

There is no check engine light or any warning light.
So if the SOV closed is slows down the motor? Wont let it start?
I tried to start it today again but still engine turns SLOW. Also im not sure if this is normal but when i was trying to start it a lot of smoke were coming out from the exhaust and under intake manifold.

That changes things a bit. Does it smoke when the key is in position 2 or just when the engine is cranking? Time to remove the starter motor.

step one.

pull the dipstick, and check the oil level.

step two.

look at the radiator overflow tank, and verify coolant color, and quantity.

if both are correct, it's time to remove the starter, and have it tested.

the ONLY thing that makes me think otherwise, is the fact the car stopped on it's own... the electronics controlling the IP may have quit from starter related voltage drop, but it's not for certain. verify oil and coolant, then pull the starter.

If the engine is partially locked from either an accessory or worse. It is pretty easy and fast test to try to hand turn the engine to eliminate both. The starter could easily smoke or turn very slow and hard with an abnormal high loading.

You will not be able to hand turn the engine if it is so. The engine should not have been able to quit and be very resistant to a restart by the starter indicated by it turning so slow.

Only after it passes that test Otherwise you may burn out a good starter. Plus it's replacement. It may be an electrical issue as well but first you do not want to create one if it is not. Just too much coincidence going on to ignore checking out that the engine is free.

The easy way on the 606 to test to see if an accessory device is dragging (AC or Alt commonly) is to just release tension (remove spring) on the belt tensioner. No reason to pull the belt.

Position 1 is where your ratio and windows start working
Position 2 is where the glow plug light turns on and you wait for it to go out.
Position 3 is cranking

Does it smoke in position 2 or position 3? If it smokes in position 2 that means you have a short in your glow plug circuit and the wiring is melting. The load from the short circuit can also cause your starter to turn slowly. If it only smokes in position 3, then its a starter or engine mechanical problem.
