The light for the speedo, tach etc. cluster is out. I have tried playing with the rheo a little with no good result.

Can someone help on how to easily check/change bulb and or fuse. All fuses in fusebox are ok, but I recall hearing there may be another somewhere.

...what's the trick to removing the little (1.2w) warning light bulbs from their sockets? I can't seem to get enough grip to remove them from the socket.

I'm pretty sure you will have to pull the instrument cluster to access the illumination light bulbs and the rheostat. You'll need two hooks to do that, a search of the threads will find a very good description of how to, with photos.

You can slip a piece of small I.D. rubber hose (vacuum hose works good) over the bulb so you can get more friction and a better grip!

That's a great idea. I have vacuum hose all over the place. Needed to change one of those little buggers last week and ended up just grinding the old one to dust with a screwdriver. Thanks!!
