Question Help identifying parts on a 1982 300TD

Hi, my car's been tampered with.
I have the FSM for the car but am stumped on a few things. Pix attached.

The left picture is taken from above and has the injector pump at the bottom and the engine at top. What is the black tube supposed to connect to? Mine is cut off a foot away. What is that thing, and what is the thing to the left of it? I put a blade of grass pointing to the thing the black tube comes out of.

In the middle pic, what is supposed to plug in the rectangluar socket?? I'm using a blade of grass as a pointer again. *Cruise servo, thanks "resto108"*

In the last picture, what is that chewed up black wire supposed to plug into? The wire comes out of a bundle below the fuel filter.
Thanks all!

The second pic is where the cruise servo plugs in. The third pic looks like the wire for the switch that keeps the heater from working when the coolant is cold, supposed to be near the thermostat. Don't know what its doing way over there. On my 82 wagon, it comes from the right side of the engine bay.

the motor is from an 85 vehicle. the wire in the first pic is for an 85, and specific to that vehicle, ignore it.

the second pic is the odb connector for mercedes diagnostic.

the third wire is for a temp sender, not sure where it should be connecting, but likely on the head somewhere.

I replied to your inquiry about indicators of it being an 85 motor.

only 85 has the electrical connection on the IP... and it does nothing for the older vehicles.

does your motor have a SLS pump on the head?

Ha, I just went out to check and the hood release stopped working. When I pull the interior lever, I can hear a click from under the hood, but no 'clunk'. I shall now attempt to remove the grill and see if that gets me in. Never a dull moment :-)

If I'm seeing this right, the SLS fluid is in a reservoir marked OEL on the passenger side behind the headlight, and the pump is on the front of the engine, above the vacuum pump and beside the power steering pump. I'm going to put the grill back on and go to a birthday party!
Thanks all!

1st picture shows the silver box the cut off cable comes out of on the back side of the IP, that is the Rack position sensor. The black cable connects to the black box in the pass side kick panel. it is one of the signals that eventually runs the EGR.
84 and 85 have this.

2nd picture to the right of the diagnostic test port is a plug. that is where the Cruise Control actuator plugs into which is missing in the 3rd picture.
