'93 ~ 300D ~ 2.5 ~ AC blows COLD middle VENTS ~ HEAT @ SIDE vents ?

Hi guys....AC is working fine, coming out of middle vents. At the same time heat is coming out side vents, STRANGE...don't know where or what to check. All switches seem to be fine, maybe some BLEND DOOR issues, not working, opening / closing correctly? Appreciate any help! Frank in VA.

Mono Valve aka HEATER CONTROL VALVE..fixed update

Guys..just in case you ever have this issue. The MONO valve was NOT working...after removing, coil was shorting out in coil. Usually I would NOT try and fix such a mess. BUT, in the spirit of learning something new I tackled the task. What you see in the first PICS is AFTER checking out re soldering, and epoxy. Re installed, didn't work. Off to Pick n Pull, found a couple MBs with similar, valves, coils, tad smaller, couldn't swap, SO, I took coil, and re wound with good wire, onto my spool. Soldered CAP that was on newer style, put all back together and WAAAALLLAAAAA! Works, now I don't have heat coming out of side vents when AC is on YES! Crazy waste of time, but learned a lot bout COILS, wire, re winding, Ohms...etc. Orig. should of measured 12.6 OHMS...new Wire came out to 15 Ohms, with the Cap. to boost action, upgrade, from 1993 - to a MB in 1997, junkyard FIND. $4 bucks to fix..lol, and a lot of time learning!

update HELP HELP please

Crazy fix worked for bout a month(rewiring the stator of the solenoid) then, issue came back, HEAT out of side vents with AC blowing out middle vents. I can't seem to come up with any solutions other then a NEW valve. The orig. PIC I showed was NOT from my car, I thought it was the same but it's NOT. My part has heater (mono) valve and the Aux. water (elec.) pump all in one, crazy expensive part at the dealer and can't find it used. Does anyone know any work arounds with maybe doing anything different or loosing the aux. water pump part of this valve, and replacing with just the heater valve. My Mercedes part number is 000 830 4084, OEM calls it simply a WATER VALVE. This is a VERY complex part when combined ALL IN ONE! Thanks guys!
