I had the windshield gasket replaced today by a local shop that does all the Mercedes dealer work. Bought the gasket from fastlane, paid the shop $100.00 for the labor. Just drove home in a heavy downpour and not a drop of water in the car! First time in about a year now, although it just got real bad the past month. Total time to do the job was about an hour. So now my car has in the past year had all four door seals, trunk seal, windshield seal, and the hood seal replaced. Came to me rust free, want to keep it that way. One of these days I will get around to figuring all the stuff I have replaced, needless to say it's well over the purchase price I paid for the beast, but she is getting closer to looking and driving like she did 20 years ago.
