My wife is 100% woman and definitely wrenches...

Heck, she recently helped me pull a sway bar from a 300TD in the scrap yard.

Don't be jealous :pleased:

As an amateur I would not charge a friend at all. If you are a pro mechanic it may be a different story.

The word amateur is somewhat pejorative in american english but it comes from latin and refers to someone who does something out of love for it.

Got one done last week - Toronto Area Indie charged just over $130, taxes brought it up to $160.

bingo........I have my own mercedes to baby......:D.. and 20 bucks for a valve adjustment isn't bad I guess.....from an amateur that produced the same result from a pro.....

Best wife I ever saw in a junkyard was holding the umbrella to keep that GA heat off her husband while he was pulling parts. Now *THAT* is a good woman. :)

Insisting on putting a dollar face on exchanges between friends counts as a vote of confidence for the centralized banking system.

I would do it for free, just the have fun talking to another MB guy while I did it... Takes me about 45 minutes, but I've had lots of practice now.

I am jealous of your Wives competence. My Wife likes to help Me but as an example I bought a new Electric Hedge Clipper and showed My Wife how to use it and like 5 times told He She needed to be careful not to cut the Extension Cord.

Of course that is exactly what happend; Cord cut in 1/2. While I was repairng the Extension Cord I found that there was 4 other places on the Cord where She had also cut/nipped the Cord with the Hedge Cutter.

If My Wife wants to help Me with something I always have to decide if it will be more trouble in the long run if She helps.

Another part of the Job My Wife and I are doing involves the use of a brand new 3 inch Wood Chipper Shredder. I am afraid to let Her use the Machine.

Wow; here in California USA there is no tax on Labor. I guess the great Health Care System has to be paid for some how:)
