300SDL W126 rotor specs?

I hope this is not a stupid question, but I am trying to figure out if I need to replace my rotors. My break warning light has started to blink periodically when I break, so I thought I would look into it. My FSM has a page similar to this one:

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...1983-gen-1.jpg

However, when I measured my front rotors, the numbers I get are 26mm (the narrowest I measured) and they match following numbers, which I have found in various other sources on the web:
FRONT
Thickness 28mm
Limit for maintenance service 26
Wear limit 25.4

REAR
Thickness 10
Limit for maintenance service 8.8
Wear limit 8.3
Is my FSM wrong (22mm instead of 28mm)? Are there two choices for rotors? Why the discrepancy?

Also, visual inspection of my front pads leads me to believe that there is still a fair amount of pad remaining (~6mm). Could my sensors be a little off? The rotors have ~60K miles.

Regardless, at 26mm, should I just change pads and rotors regardless?

I have a similar question about my rear rotors, which are at 8.8mm now, with pads ~8mm.

Thanks in advance for any help.

the rotors got thicker on the 2nd gen 126's...

if the indicator light is blinking, the sensor is contacting the rotor... somewhere. it could be a bad wire on the sensor, or it could be your inside pad is thin...

Apparently they can take quite the beating..... I would do as VStech mentioned and check the sensors first.

Brake Pads generally don't wear evenly; meaning each pad can wear at s slant. That makes it possible for the part of the Pad you are looking at to look thicker than the other part of the pad and for the Wear Sensor to be making contact on the thinner part of the Pad.
Unless yo find something obvious on the Sensor Wires you may need to pull the Brake Pads to check them.

Concerning Brake Rotor thickness; they can look like they could be resurfaced again but sometimes correcting warpage removes more Metal then you thought would happen.

Also Most Rotors have the minimum spec stamped or cast somewhere on the Rotor. Often on the outer edge of the Rotor if there is room there.

Thank you for all the information. I plan to replace rotors and pads in the next few weeks. I will follow this procedure: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/290044-w123-w126-front-brake-rotor-replacement-bearing-pad-change-included.html
