Diesels in Horse Country
Ahh, such a gorgeous day. Thought I'd remenisce a bit...
Took the '85 300TD down to Lexington for a day at the races at Keeneland. It was such a gorgeous day and walking in with $50 to bet and leaving with $300 makes anyone's day! Oh, and the TD ran beautifully the whole way down. She ran a bit on the warm side, but I will be changing the coolant, t-stat and probably water pump soon enough. Wish I still had the 250 Cabriolet!

Interesting you said that about the Keeneland Club sticker, my '70 280SL has about 20 years worth of Keeneland Club decals on the windshield. I bought it from a couple who was very big in the thoroughbred business.

HEY! I'm from KY originally...and I was a music major at University of Kentucky for 4 years...I left in '91. Lexington is a great town...I miss it sometimes. All of my family still lives in KY.
Glad you had fun there!  Mike PS "DaimlerChrysler", what part of town do you live in there? I used to live on Rose Lane, right down the street from Lynagh's Pub (I think it was spelled that way--It's been a while), and the UK fine arts bldg., student center, etc.
