Removing front seat bottom
Going to visit a pick and pull yard next week. Hoping to find a good front seat cover bottom. Any tips or links to removing the seat bottom? I really only need the fabric/leather cover, but I assume the entire seat bottom has to come out to get it off. I want to make sure I carry the right tools with me.
Thanks.

If it's an electric seat being a drill battery to power the motors. Then remove it and unbolt
The bottom from the top. Then sit on the seat so you can peel the cardboard lip out from the seat metal. I also believe they are hog ringed in place so bring pliers |

You don't mention which car exactly you need it for, I am assuming the w123.
Don't see how you could work that without unbolting the seat, then removing the seat bottom. You are in NC so hopefully the mounting bolts won't be completely rusted in, as they would be here. IIRC the bolts are 13 mm. I would bring a 3/8 drive ratchet with a short and long extension and stubby and long sockets. Also a normal or long 13 mm wrench for the bolts holding the seatback to the seat bottom. I have separated these on two cars, one was fine but the other had the bolts tightened to ~ ft/lbs. If you pull a passenger side seat, don't forget the extra bolt running into the sill. Also bring a can of penetrating oil as you need to move the seat all the way forward and up to access the rear bolts properly, and often the height adjuster (and maybe even the main seat adjustment) hasn't been moved in years or decades. I haven't pulled a seat cover (not properly) so no comment there.

Sorry guys - I should have mentioned that it's the 210 chassis that I'm asking about. The driver's seat bottom has a couple of splits in the leather fabric. Since the left and right side seat bottom fabrics are interchangeable, it is my guess that the best replacement will come from a passenger side seat bottom.
