Interiors compatibility '87 300SDL vs '93 500SE?

Does anybody have knowledge as to whether the front seats and center console of a 93 500SE would fit in an 87 300SDL?

Well a 93 500SE is a W140 and your SDL is a w126 so none of it will be a direct fit. I have seen w140 seats in a w126 coupe before so I know that they will physically fit. However I would imagine some sort of custom mounting rails would be required as well as some custom wiring to make the power seats work correctly. The switch panel for the seat may also not fit in the w126 door card in the stock location.

The centre console I would imagine won't fit... but I don't know for sure.

Thanks dude, it is just what I thought. It just kills me when I go to the bone yard and I see pristine interiors that I cannot use :-(
I am going to start another thread and ask for tips to clean the dirt and grease that accumulates on the sunroof headliner panel throughout the years. Anything you might know?

From what I've heard the headliners are pretty damn hard to clean. I've also heard they're a ***** to take out and replace. Like I said, the seats you could make work, it would just take a little engineering on your part...

No problem, if you do end up swapping in the seats take lots of pictures if the process, I'd like to see it

I believe the W140 glass sunroof is a direct bolt on to a W126. Take all the pieces, though. 2nd gen W126 cars don't need all the pieces since they already have the tilt function.
