My 240D loss power

My 240D had been loosing power for some time, but it didn't get my real attention until going over a few mountains in PA. Going up the hill in the right lane with emergency flasher on, with 18 wheelers passing on the left side was cause for alarm.
I suspected fuel delivery to be the problem, but I knew the pre-filter had clean fuel going thru it and considering I had two tanks of fuel with Startron running thru it, I suspected the fuel to be OK.
Upon asking some questions, I found out about a lift pump rebuilding kit which I've ordered. I was also recommended to check the pivot-mount. I found this to be the problem.
This is a write-up of what I found bad and changed it out. Now since I cannot be in two places at the same time, I had my son sit in the car and depress the GO pedal to the floor as I observed the pivot arm movement as it actually happened. I wasn't impressed with what I found.

Pic's will follow tomorrow

My 240D loss power

Yeah what happened? I recently swapped the motor in my 114, and the bolt where the throttle linkage comes through the firewall and attaches to the rod on the back of the firewall was loose and not adjusted right.

I loosened it up, shoved a bar on the gas pedal, grabbed the linkage on the motor side and made sure it was closed, and tightened the bolt.

Not sure if your setup is the same, but I'm on help mode right now.

It sounds like it was a linkage problem - all that OM616 POWER was there - it just wasn't reachable...

Freaked me out when that happened. I finally grabbed the linkage and realized. I don't like the design on my 114. That bolt loosens up or slips over time and loose power. I plan on loosens it, pinning the throttle, and tightening often. Or having someone pin it in the car and checking to make sure it's giving 100% under the hood.
