1976 W115 wiper relay

It has been wet the last couple of days here in the San Francisco Bay Area and of course today when I leave for work the wipers don't work. They worked yesterday but not today. I put power to the motor and it works but I can't figure out which relay under the dash is for the wipers. I know its on the drivers side but I can't trace the wiring. Also, how can I test the switch on the stalk. One more thing I noticed that the passing high beams don't work either. The fuses are all good and the high beams work just not the passing mode.
Thanks,
John

there may be corrosion in the fuse holder, so rotate the fuse in question a few times....

if you want to do electrical work i highly recommend getting a schematic for your car.

on mine (1977) the passing high beams are called "optical horn" and are listed separately in the fusebox. i think you should probably clean all the fuse contacts.

i found a wiring diagram online but man is it tough to read the lettering on it. it looks like it was a copy of a copy of a copy... anyway i did get the passing lights to work but not the wiper motor (they are on the same circuit). any ideas on how to test the switch? i have an spare one but i can't find it. i'm sure it will turn up once i get this resolved.
