126 transmission overhaul data

I notice transmissions aren't covered in the free FSM. I've also seen extracts posted on here that have "AT" at the top of the page. That tells me there is a separate tranny book. Is it available anywhere for my SD? I'm entertaining overhauling a spare tranny to have and I want to check out the level of difficulty. Plus I'm an aircraft mechanic, and you can never have too much data.

It is also available via Mercedes on WIS.

I've pulled a 722.303 to bits here and made a few pictures but as it was toast I didn't put it together again.

Thumbs up

The ATSG books lack pretty hardcore on imports, at least the 722.3 and 4HP22.

Sixto sent me the 722.3 MB PDF, it is 300ish pages. PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.

PM sent

Also, I found the guys over at mb107.com have a pretty decent looking CD for the 722.3 and 4 with the ATSG book and MB books. I ordered it, we'll see how it is. Figured it was worth $20.

Where is this Sixto company located? Do they rebuild 722.3s? Are they an alternative to Sun Valley in SoCal?

Sixto is a chap here on the forum - that's his user name.

I found this neat website that has quite a bit of transmission documentation available:

I wonder which helpful chap provides the information on this site. He must be a really good egg. Top drawer - best of the best.

That's more of a technical site, not a forum like *********

Everybody remember the above post. By mentioning me in such a sarcastic way, Gerry is once again trying to bring drama into yet another thread.

I plug GSXR's site all of the time. I even plugged it in my 400E's build thread. I plug good sites, not knappy ones like the 500Ebored.

I have been running a drag racing thread on this site as well for even longer than the one on 500bored. The Mercedes drag racing posts will continue only here on this site from now on. Anybody needing a drag racing fix will be able to get it here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/performance-paddock/251933-anybody-up-some-1-4-mile-action-35.html We have TWO December dates coming up!
I've also had an ongoing drag racing thread on my favorite Volvo site for quite some time as well. PM me if you want a link to that one.

The average enthusiast will learn more in five minutes on GSXR's site than they will in five hours on 500Ebored.

I left 500Ebored voluntarily. Just got fed up with the politics there, as well as the self confessed dictator mentality of it's admin. The admin there then disabled my account because he was afraid I was going to delete all of my posts like he did when he left Benzworld. He claims he places very little value on my posts there, and has stated so publically, yet he still refuses to delete my posts there, despite the fact that I have repeatedly asked him to do so.

As your post here illustrates Bob, my drag racing thread there was a big traffic generator for 500Ebored. The last time I checked, it's had over 34,000 views!

For sure, I picked up quite a few tip from your posts

I started out with 14.20's and now I'm turning consistent 14.0's
I'll scope out your threads on here.

Just ignore that dude from the "other" board. He's not right in the head...

My job may be relocating me to the west coast, Cali
We may be able to race at the same track!!!
