What's the dif btw 84' and 85 300SD besides updated vac stuff
I have a 300SD 1985 that now has 409,000.0 miles on it. It has some issues like, a leaking moon roof that is taped up, a window that likes to open about an inch or more, bad radio. Needs tires.
Just had a run in with a deer and lost all my pass lights. Broke a vac line, but fixed that with some epoxy. Lights are on order So, I see an 84' 300SD up for sale and wonder if things are pretty much the same on the vehicles? If i purchase the 84, can i use the 85 for parts?

Rear diff in the 85 is 2.88 gearing.
Others are 3.07. That's all I know because I don't have one. |

The 1985 has a different transmission and torque converter, rear end ratio, as well as the vacuum amplifier for shift pressure.
All the body parts are the same. -J
