Diesel fuel stabilizer
Is diesel fuel as vulnerable to going bad as gasoline? If so, what products should be used to prevent diesel fuel from going bad?

If it sits, then yes. I have been told Sta-bil works for either, but I have yet to use it myself.

Diesel fuel is susceptible to critter infestation if left for long periods of time where there is an atmosphere/fuel interface. Such as a not full fuel tank. Condensations builds on the tank walls, drops/slides down on top of the fuel = a welcome habitat for microbes.
I would use a biocide, also, some fuel stabilizers work with diesel fuel, I would think.

Startron as needed. 2-stroke oil 1oz/gallon since diesel is so dry these days.
