1984 300D w123 violent shaking

when i hit about 45-50 mph my cars wheels start to wobble and the car does some violent shaking but after going around 60mph it stops, can it be the bushing? i just changed the tie rod ends.

Do you feel the vibration mainly in your hands? In the seat of your pants? Or all over?

Could possibly be any of these...

Badly balanced wheel(s)
A damaged tire
Driveshaft out of balance (any driveshaft work done recently?)
Failing flex disc
Severely failed driveshaft center bearing or support

And probably a few other things.

I'd start by crawling under the car to visually inspect the flex discs. Don't drive the car again until you visually confirm that they are not coming apart or you risk destroying the car if it comes loose while you're doing 60mph.

Then hit the next lowest hanging fruit, and have a wheel/tire shop that you trust look at them. Most will check balance and inspect your tires for free if you express a concern. Of course, they hope to sell you tires and balancing services. But a reputable shop will be honest about what they find.

I agree - we need more details. A shaking in the seat likely has a different cause from a shaking in the steering wheel. Only during acceleration or does it do it during a cruise? How about during a deceleration? Only when going straight, during a right hand turn, a left hand turn, or all the above? It doesn't sound like it's triggered by braking (warped rotor) but can you stop it by lightly applying the brakes?

Edit : Also not sure what you mean by "the bushing". There are many bushings in both the front and rear suspensions and it could be any one of them - and about 100 other things.

wheels start to wobble.... that is very specific.... do you have someone to drive the car up to that speed with you in another car to see if the wheels are clearly bouncing ... ?

A visual inspection up front may reveal some issues.

Take pics if you can.

Rebuild the entire front end. I bet it has been neglected for a long time and just about everything needs to be refreshed at this point.
