WTB Hazet Valve Spring Retaining Tool
Hi, I want to buy a Hazet valve spring retaining tool 2769-3.
Thanks |
They show up on eBay sometimes and are are sold or bid up to 40-65 dollars or so.
|
Thanks but still hoping I get a direct contact to save all the tension of bidding on ebay. Apparently its not good for the heart:eek:
|
ya don't wanna just build one?

I bought a socket from Sears, and had it made for about 40; I have no doubt you could do it cheaper.
|
Ok ok, I'll get busy and cut a few up and put them together...
I have a patient renter that wants to rent my bent wrenches anyway... What's a fair price for a custom one? |
Chadstoolbox claims to sell them for $45.30 + Shipping.

There is also a site that sells the Assenmacher version of the 14mm Valve Wrenches for about $32+ shipping each. If someone is thining about ordering be sure to contact the Seller and find out if they are in stock. I have seen a used 3rd Wrench get bid up to $65 in ebay. I don't remember if that had free shipping or not. |
Thanks for replies, having one made up will be next option if I don't come by one soon.

I just won an eBay auction for a set of hazets! The BIN was something like $190 and I put in a bid of $90, and won!
I make the bent tools for rent, or purchase. I might add the hazets to the tool rental thread once I get them in. |
You suck, sir.

You might find the homemade ones are easier to use.
The heads on the Hazet Wrench are fatter then most open end wrenches and that can be a small issue especially on the 5th Cylinder. |
I was noticing that.
Still, they have the MB star and part number on them, and they have the clip... I'm stoked. I'll post pics of my homemade set tomorrow. |
