Where are you?
Have you scoured the parts yards?

There are 3 on eBay - #18, #20, new #22.

Sixto is there much difference between the 18 and 20/22 heads as far as failure rates?

I don't think so.

the #22 is the newest casting from MB.

I'd go for the #20, and take him up on the offer to have the machine work done before it arrives, unless you have a shop you prefer.

have him PRESSURE TEST the head, and VERIFY the head will be in spec before you get it.

that 18 with the broken ear, looks like it was running for a while with a bad head gasket in 3 cylinders.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice!

Is this car a keeper of fix and sell? An extra $1500 spread over the life of a keeper is change. With the right documentation, you should recover some of cost if/when you sell it.

I have a #17 head in good condition it pass the pressure test and it's for sale

Working on getting a #20. It needs to pass a Leak test though. Hold onto the 17 for now. Anybody have a line on monarch nozzles? Might as well redo the injectors too! This car is a keeper. The #14 lasted over 200 K. Thanks for the Help!

PM greazzer in regards to injectors. He's the resident injector guru.
