proportioning valve in a w123 wagon?

I had a dragging caliper on the left rear. So I figured I would replace both calipers, pads and rotors all in one shot. Everything went smooth as glass until I went to bleed the system.

Some fluid came out and then just stopped on the left rear. I have yet to touch the right caliper. I disconnected the rubber line from the hard line and pressed the brake, nothing came out and the petal had no resistance.

I have a master cylinder on its way now but is there a proportioning valve that I am not seeing on this wagon?

There is no proportioning valve or anything else upstream that could be causing what you describe.

I am not experienced enough with bleeding brakes to offer any advice beyond: keep pumping.

You own a '76 Monte? The car of my teenage dreams. Dad almost bought one but he decided on a Malibu Classic instead (but at least it had the ralleye wheels).

I believe a proportioning valve is redundant on a car with load sensing suspension. Without, that is another matter.

Ended up being a bad master cylinder. I looked all over the lines for a valve and thought maybe I was loosing it. Just wanted to make sure it did or did not have one from the factory.

Yup Zacharias I own a '76 triple black Monte Carlo Landau.
