I am at a loss. I can't get the manual transmission to seat properly on my 240D. I swapped over the correct adapter plate from the donor car and the clutch is centered properly. The transmission will stop about 2 cm from the adapter like its binding on something. Any suggestions?

Splines arent lining up. Put the transmission in a gear and slowly rotate that output flange to turn the input shaft, it will pop right in

That's what I was going to mention. Put it in 4th gear and turn the output flange a bit.

Got it in. Not sure why I couldn't get it earlier since I was trying to get it into gear to rotate the splines.
