615s don't have the leaky, rough idle causing rubber o-rings if that is why you are asking. That is a 60x thing.

Hunter saving the day, once again. Thanks. I was curious if I could heat the copper and use a generic o-ring, but I'll stop by the IP shop today.
And the DV's on this pump are leaking. Not a big deal, but I sold the pump and the guy wants new ones installed. Mine as well get the parts for my installed IP also. Thanks! |

The Crush Washers in the Delivery Valve area are some stiffer alloy then just plain Copper. Heating the Washers to anneal them may or may not cause issues down the road.
In this last few years more then a few People have managed to pull the Element Barrels up and out of the Slot that alines them. Before you take the Pump apart measure the height of the Delivery Valve Holder as it is assembled on the Pump before lossening it. When you assemble the Delivery Valve Holder just snug it down by hand and do not torque it and measure again to see if it is close to the way it was. If it is not near the same hight as it was before there is a good chance the Barrel was pulled up and out of the slot. No one has ever posted pics so that is the best I can do. If you need the Special Splined Socket to remove the Delivery Valve holder there is likely an O-ring.

No socket needed, but there is an o-ring per FSM.
Man, I've done that before. Cranked it down but fortunately didn't hurt anything. It was a 12,000 lb truck and didn't have time to pull the IP. A master tech came out and set it right. Hence why I'm nervous. Tried to get the same tech to do it. He said I'm ready to try again. |
