Moved cars, found some weird mixture of something?
So we were moving some cars around today (these are driven fairly often so not just parked and left for months on end) and we found these strange looking bits of some concoction of fluids. It looks like what happens when coolant and oil mix? Maybe
http://i.imgur.com/IpeaSOtl.jpg No smell at all. Texture more like a wet putty than anything. Not sure what to make of it. My dad's 300SD was parked over the above photo'd spot. There was another bit in the parking spot next to it where..im not sure what was parked there..hmmm I'll have ask about. I dont recall ever seeing this stuff before. |
Looks like turkey gravy.

oil/water grease/water... my guesses
|
do you run WVO at all? It looks like congealed fat.
|
Could be the funky goo inside motor mounts.
|
What does it taste like ?
|
That's usually motor oil that has absorbed moisture. The same kind of stuff you see under a oil cap on an engine with poor crankcase ventilation. In this case it is cold damp weather mixed with oil on the ground.
ATF retains a slightly red color. Coolant would have washed away. |
What temp is it where you are? It could be fuel parifin
